Day 5: WISHY WASHI
#filolifephotoaday – At Home
I use these filos AT HOME. The black one is a pocket-sized Graphic, the other one is the personal-sized Woodlands.

#planneraddictsphotochallenge1 – In Your Bag
These two are the Filos I carry IN MY BAG. One is the A5 Domino Snake, the other a personal-sized Graphic.
Here are the first planner challenge photographs. I talked about the challenges here.

A looong time ago I got an Instagram account and used it for a while because it was fun to snap pictures with my smartphone. But then the phone got older and every app started working so slow…
But one or two days ago I found my way back to Instagram, now using my new phone. Yippieh! That’s why I decided to take part in two photo challenges, both starting on September 1st:
- Filofax: September Photo Challenge on IG hosted by @island808girl (#filolifephotoaday)
- Planner Addicts Photo A Day Challenge hosted by @tonihammersley (#planneraddictsphotochallenge1)
I’ve never done a challenge which lasts a whole month before. Have you? How did it work for you?
Are you using IG, too? Leave me a link if you like. I’m @SalKaye.
WordPress just told me that I registered with them exactly 3 years ago. Wow, has it really been that long?
Steampunk is getting more and more popular by the day. I like this genre a lot, too, and I spend hours staring at all those great Steampunk Outfits one finds when browsing the internet. When I was younger I would have gone hunting for my own Steampunk Outfit. I would have loved it, worn it to festivals and conventions and I would have felt awesome in it.
I’ve patiently been waiting for the fILOFAX Woodlands to come out. I ordered it the same day it did. I carry it with me in my purse. It’s not completely set up yet because I don’t know what I want to put in there yet. For now, it’s the calender, a food-/calorie-intake section, a personal wishlist, and lots of notepaper.
The Woodlands Personal is quite inexpensive so don’t expect too much concerning the quality. The cover with the little rabbit is pretty cute but it’s faux-wooden texture looks a little like pvc-flooring.
Still, this organizer has a special feel too it. The little bunny from the covers makes more appearences on the the title page and on the inside of the binder (see photo below). I like this a lot, it adds extra-cuteness and makes me love this personal-sized planner.
The only thinks I’m missing a the slots/pockets on the inside cover where one can store business cards, stamps etc. Also, the pen holder is only made from clear plastic and once you add a pen to it it’s always in the way. I wish it had a little slot/pocket to which I could add one of the Flex pen holders.
Has anybody else oredered a Woodlands yet? How do you like it?
It was my father who introduced me to the world of planners & personal organizers. Back then (I was still in school) I didn’t really appreciate the first fILOFAX he bought me. I tried to find it the other day but I guess it’s stored away somewhere in the basement or at my parents house. It was red, too.
Only now have I decided to give this whole planner thing another try. So after lots of thought I ordered the red Domino, size A5. It arrived a couple of days later and has made me happy ever since. It came with a calender, notepaper, to-do-lists, address pages, a ruler, and lots of dividers.
I had already seen some cute fILOs on other blogs and on pinterest, so I decided to try and customize mine as well, at least a little. I found some cute free printables via Pinterest and printed one to put in the front. I will probably exchange it for another print-out in the future, probably something red and black to match the Domino.
Here’s how the last week looks like in the calender section. I like color-coding the different tasks and appointments. The Domino comes in many different colors. I ordered the red one (and doesn’t it remind you of Rufio, too?).
Does anyone else own a fILOFAX or even more than one? Which ones and what do you use them for?
I’ve been wanting to tell you about my newst love – a planner by fILOFAX – but I was so busy that I didn’t take one single picture of my beautiful red Domino and therefore didn’t blog.
I hope to share photos some time next week. Until then I might even be able to show you the other two planners I ordered today… Guess I’m addicted to planners and organizers now…
