About Sal Kaye

Hi there!

It’s me again, Sal. I’m a 33-year-old German and constantly wondering about things. I can’t cook, I can’t sing, I can’t watch TV without wearing my contacts. But… I can read. I can crochet. And I blog. About things. About what I like, love, hate, want, read, do…

I used to be a goth person when I was young. I used to have tons of dreams and ambitions. Well… I turned into your average German after graduating from college. Work-life does that to you sometimes. But I’m reclaiming who I once was and might still be inside. I’ll be sharing my thoughts here, I’ll blog about things I like and can recommend, and I’ll try to let you know how to stay a little dark and mysterious in the grown-up world of working people.😉

What about you?

Also visit me at Facebook and Twitter.

I’d love to meet you there!

P.S.: I like adding links to sites I like to my blog. But! I’m not responsible for the content of those sites!

  1. Good for you, for looking up a new gym! I’m proud of you! And thanks so much for the comments on my blog about getting fit. It’s nice to know someones out there, reading!
Keep me posted on your progress. I love to hear a good ‘journey’ story.🙂

    1. Hi Judy!
You’re welcome, I really enjoy reading your blog. It’s really motivating.
      I’m a “couch potatoe” nowadays – and I hate it.😦
I’ll probably join the gym in September after we’ve moved to the new place. I know the owner and some of the staff personally so I think that’ll be extra motivation to go.🙂

  2. Found your site after googling “how to incorporate steampunk into your wardrobe. I am the same way: Goth in High School and “still dark @ heart”. I have been looking for a way to fit in to the real world and I lost myself along the way. I am trying to reclaim all the parts of me that love dark, gothic, romantic and edgy things. I want to still be myself but not look like an old lady trying to reclaim her youth! Lol. Thanks for blogging and I look forward to your tweets too!
PS If you ever make a t-shirt that says “Still Dark @ Heart” on it I would buy it!🙂

    1. Hi Deetzah!
Oh, thank you! Your t-shirt comment makes my day.🙂
I’m always relieved to hear I’m not the only one having these “issues”. I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on being a grown-up goth.

  3. I’m so glad you found me!!🙂
I don’t know why, but for some reason I have this crazy love for Germany. It’s ridiculous – I just really love this country, almost as much as America (not quite as much, I AM a crazy, patriotic American, after all). Plus I like being able to speak German to people, even if they make fun of my “amerikanischer Akzent.”
